About Darryl

Darryl was born in 1986 in sunny San Diego, California. Never the athlete, his attention in youth was directed towards often counterproductive attempts to help 'fix' his parent's 486 computers. Practice made perfect however, and by high school he became a neighborhood advisor for computer problems. This, and a marked interest for games, led his initiative in later founding and leading the school's club for digital gaming. During that time he also expanded into business interests becoming state champion in his category of the DECA conferences.

Following his graduation from Mount Carmel High School, Darryl went to study at DigiPen Institute of Technology for his bachelors of Science degree in Real Time Interactive Simulation (Computer Science). His original interests were in artificial intelligence, but he later switched to focusing more in mathematics and physics, earning a minor in both sciences. The experiences at DigiPen proved invaluable in dealing with the dynamics of making a game with a small timetable and people dropping out of the project part of the way. While facing different challenges now, those experiences provided the foundation for his work ethic.

Living in Irvine, CA, Darryl works at Blizzard Entertainment on their new MMO project. His main goal now is to help the Blizzard team continue their great success.
